At Avita Therapy Services, our ABA therapists see people, not diagnoses. We focus on strengths, stories, and real growth, helping children, teens, and young adults build connection, independence, and confidence in everyday life.

Our Story

Why Avita Was Created

Avita Therapy Services was founded to create a different kind of ABA therapy experience—one where families feel supported and clinicians are empowered to lead with care.

Founder and Clinical Director Christine Johnson, BCBA, has worked in behavioral health across the U.S. and internationally, including in communities in Ethiopia and the Dominican Republic. Through this work, she saw a common problem: caring professionals wanted to do more, but traditional systems often got in the way.

From the start, the goal was to create a practice where individuals are seen and respected, families are true partners, and clinicians are trusted collaborators in care.

Today, Avita is a team of like-minded ABA providers committed to trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming care that honors the whole person.

Our Mission and Core Values

Evidence-Based ABA With Heart

At Avita, our mission is simple: help individuals communicate, connect, and thrive while supporting families every step of the way. We believe the strongest outcomes happen when clinical skill and compassion work together.

Our ABA therapists and providers are guided by these core beliefs:

Human Dignity Is Non-Negotiable

Every person deserves respect and care. We see lives, not labels.

Science Serves the Person

Evidence-based ABA therapy guides our work, always in service of a full and meaningful life.

Care Is Collaborative

Progress happens through partnership. Families and educators are part of the team.

Communication Is a Human Right

Every individual deserves a voice through speech, spoken language, communication devices, pictures, signs, or behavior.

Systems Can Change

We adapt environments and advocate for better support instead of asking people to fit into systems that were not built for them.

Growth Starts with Seeing the Whole Person

We support emotional, sensory, cultural, and daily life needs, not just behaviors.

Avita is a place where heart and rigor go together. We invest in mentorship, shared learning, and clinician well-being.

Our BCBAs and ABA therapists are treated as partners in progress because real support is something you feel, not just hear about.

Meet the Founder

Christine Johnson, BCBA

A woman with long brown hair, wearing a white sleeveless top and dark jeans, sitting on a gray couch, smiling inside a bright living room.

Christine Johnson is the Founder and Clinical Director of Avita Therapy Services. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, she leads the practice with a focus on ethical, person-centered ABA therapy grounded in curiosity, respect, and real-life impact.

Outside of Avita, one of Christine’s greatest joys is being a mom. She believes real growth often shows up in ordinary moments—enjoying bike rides, spending time outdoors, and making pancakes that are never the same size twice.

She brings creativity into her life with plenty of color, even if she never wears it, often painting, working with textures, and letting her hands do the thinking.

That same curiosity and warmth guide how she leads Avita: meeting families where they are and creating care that feels human, flexible, and deeply supportive.
